Welcome to the Orchard about page. We are based out of Nailsea North Somerset. We are both happy and proud to call Somerset home. It is a beautiful part of the world. This site is dedicated to the work we provide for North Somerset. We ensure that your space at home is comfortable and a pleasure to enjoy. Our main focus is to maintain and improve domestic gardens and interior areas.
We only work with qualified and experienced trades people as you may read on our Team page. Our experienced team can improve the look of an outside space through gardening or landscaping.
We work using quality materials by an experienced and qualified team who provide high quality domestic gardening services. We will meet your needs by treating your green space like it was our own. We strive to ensure you will be satisfied with our services and finish. We mow lawns and edge them to give it a great finish. Some of our equipment allows for lines to be left on the lawn. If you enjoy this type of finish, please let us know when you book. We cut hedges using electric and petrol cutters. We have long reach equipment and platforms of all sizes to reach the highest of hedges. We dispose of the waste in a responsible manner. Garden Clearance is another service we provide. Using brush cutters we can level an area and prepare it for the next stage in your project or simply cover it with weed barriers to ensure that weeds and plants do not return. Weeding, whether a small area or a large one, we can clear the undesired from your garden. Garden Maintenance or a tidy up as it has been referred, is something we specialise in. We bring in the expertise and leave your garden renewed, ready for enjoyment and use. Orchard also offers a professional outdoor cleaning service. We will carefully remove dirt, stains, leaves, moss, weeds and any other unwanted discolouration, leaving you with a renewed space to enjoy. We have experience cleaning driveways, paths and facia. We can also alter your garden through landscaping. Whether it’s repairs or a new patio, path, block paving, fence or turfing. The Team at Orchard will use the outmost care to complete all works to a high standard.
Name: Ivan Guevara
Position: Projects Lead
I joined Orchard as a partner in 2015. My background in
customer service and event management gave me the skills necessary to project
manage all our jobs to ensure they are completed both within time and budget.
It always starts with the customer and getting the brief right. It is important
right from the very beginning that we understand the customer’s needs and
requirements. From this we are able to make suggestions in line with the
customer’s requirements, lifestyle and desires. Once the scope and timetable
for the work is known, the event planner in me kicks in to ensure the work is
completed on time and within budget.
It’s a very exciting time for us as we continue to grow
and provide even more services to our customers.
What I love most about what I do: From meeting new customers and providing
quotes to pitching in and getting my hands dirty. I never have the same day
twice.
Interesting fact: My first language is Spanish.
Name: Thom Chapman
Position: Maintenance and Lawns
I am passionate about gardens, nature and encouraging
others to interact with their outside spaces. Too many people see their gardens
as a chore or something to be looked at; where in reality the garden is a
natura extension to their home that should be celebrated and enjoyed like any
other space within the house. Conservation is also important to me and I
volunteer with TCV, a conservation project based in Manchester and Bristol. Prior
to joining Orchard, I worked in forestry for one and a half years and another
gardening company before starting my own gardening business. As well as
improving domestic gardens I also enjoy the challenge of larger gardens having
worked on a country estate in Italy.
I am well qualified with a Diploma level one in Practical
Horticulture from Taunton and Bridgwater college; a Diploma in Forestry level
one from Cannington College (now part of Bridgwater and Taunton College) and a
Degree in Landscape Architecture, 2:1.
What I love most about what I do: I enjoy working
outdoors in nature, and I like the exercise I get from gardening, and the
satisfaction of seeing a beautiful garden.
An Interesting
fact: My landscaping work enabled me to design a garden in Sweden.
